Wild Clary is found on dry pastures and roadsides in Southern England rare elsewhere. Wild Clary or Wild Sage also called Christ's eye, due to its use as a cleanser and soothes irritation in the eyes. The leaves can be used raw or cooked, a herbal tea can be made from the leaves. A good bee plant, well suited to wild flower gardens and cultivated beds. Grows in full sun in light sandy well drained soil. Sow spring inside/under glass plant out during early summer.
