Scabious Devils Bit  300 seeds
Bluish Purple rounded flower heads. Habitat marshes and wet grassland. Butterfly nectar plant and caterpillar food plant. A medicinal herb used to make an infusion to treat coughs and the herb has also been used as a diuretic. The raw leaves can be added to salads or cooked but it can cause problems, as the plant contains saponins, tannin and glycoside. Perennial. Hgt 25 - 100cm Flowers July to September.
