A British bred purple mangetout. Pretty bicolour flowers producing attractive purple pods that can be eaten raw, cooked and ideal for stir fry. Can be steamed but the colour will fade, boil the pods and they will turn dark green. Best harvested and eaten young as the peas start fo show. Resistant to powdery mildew and tolerant to downy mildew. Sow May to July in full sun flowers June to August. Gardeners World favourite.
