Looseleaf lettuce with red tipped leaves more pronounced in colder growing conditions. Half open good sized head, can be grown as cut and come again for baby leaf or leave for larger heads. Sow from mid Feb to September and harvest through to November according to growing conditions.

Basic Information
Lactuca sativa Basic Sowing information: Lettuce Seeds 700-1,000 per gram. Start sowing early spring making successional sowings every 2 weeks until August for a continual supply of salad leaf. Sow as thinly as possible in rows 30cm apart, thin out to 20-30cm apart. Earlier sowings can be made from early January under glass. Pick leaves young for baby salad leaf. Salad leaf mixtures from supermarkets are expensive, pick your own direct from the garden.
