A popular herb from the middle ages. Not used in herbal medicine today but was once used for many ailments from infections to the throat, colds, liver and stomach complaints. Leaves used to make a tea and dried leaves are added to tea blends. Sow autumn in cold frame. Grow in well drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Perennial Ornamental herb, Flowers from May to August.
