It is a versatile variety known locally as 'Sambar Southekai' a cooking cucumber that can be used in a wide range of dishes including Mangalore style southekayi sambar, added to curries or stir-fried. Basic Information
Cucumis sativus Basic Sowing information: Sow at 21-24C singly in small pots Feb onwards 1.25cm deep. Pot up into 12cm pots grow on at 18C.
