An RHS AGM variety, early second early Nantes type, cylindrical roots with a blunt tip up to 17cm long. Can be sown over a long period, best cropped between June and September but can also be sown late in June and July for a tender crop harvesting October to December. Not suitable for over wintering in straw.

Daucus carota Basic Sowing information: Sow seeds very thinly, direct spring onwards in succession to summer, 1cm deep rows 15cm apart, thin the young seedlings to 10cm apart. Early crops can be produced by sowing seed early indoors & transplant under cloches. English Sage is a good companion plant for carrots
