Wildflower and Herb. Flowers from June to September, known as common hedgenettle, wood betony or bishopwort. A wildflower and herb with Reddish purple flowers numerous in whorls in a cylindrical spike. Was used in herbal medicine to cure headaches and noted for its healing properties. Wildflower Betony can be found in open woods, on rocky ground and coastal cliffs. Perennial, Stachys Officinalis Hgt 15- 60cm
