The green seed pods make this an attractive cut flower, it is sturdier and a little later to flower than other varieties, white distinctive flower heads. Other common names include toothpick plant, bisnaga and Bishop's weed. Sow in situ when the ground warms up from March to May and late summer, a good architectural plant for the border.
