Bitter Melon is used in Asian and Caribbean dishes and produces warty oblong fruits.
Kohl Rabi is an interesting vegetable well worth growing, a real delicacy, can be eaten raw or cooked, it grows on top of the ground making it easy to cultivate and harvest.
Komatsuna is a Japanese green, a fast growing mustard spinach that can be used for mature leaf, baby leaf and is ideal in stir fries and salads. Sow from spring until mid summer in situ and autumn under cover in polytunnels or cloches. Harvest in 25 days for baby leaf, 55 days for mature plants.
