Courgette round varieties, yellow varieties and flowers are widely used in restaurants. Courgette seeds are easy to germinate and to grow on. Sow indoors from March and from late April to early June in situ, sow at 18-21°C singly, edge on, 1.25cm deep, in pots. Plant out after last frost. Space plants up to 1m apart. Feed weekly and keep well watered. Can be grown early or late under glass to extend the growing period.
