Leycesteria Jealousy
90-150cm NEW L. formosa Himalayan Honeysuckle. A dramatic accent plant that offers all season interest in the garden or on the patio. During the seasons Jealousy will begin flowering in July, maroon highlights to the foliage and flowers appear later in cooler conditions and autumn brings purple fruits. Hardy bushy shrub with a rounded habit having green yellow (chartreuse) colour leaves. Plant can tolerate cooler temperatures but foliage will turn purplish brown in colour if the night temp drops below 12C Ideal for patio containers and borders. Hardy perennial sow 18-21C cover lightly with vermiculite germination 9-12 days Don't exclude light as this is need for germination keep soil moist but don't over water. To control the plant growth it is recommended to pinch or trim the plants down to 3 or 4 leaves in the main stem about 2 weeks after transplanting.
