| Hibiscus sabdariffa Jamaican Cocktail Mixture H.sabdariffa Ornamental stems for borders and cut flower arrangements, the flowers are borne on leafy short stems, grows to about 2-2.5m tall, the fruits become fleshy and turn attractive colours of red, yellow, orange and purple. Harvest when the calyx are in full colour. When first flower appears increase watering to prevent buds dropping. Grow in soil rich in organic matter. A beautiful border and cut flower plant. A mixture of purple, Red and Yellow and some additional colours from the Jamaican Cocktail series. Sow from spring to early summer.

| Hibiscus Simply Love Silvery yellow flowers with a distinct chocolate coloured centre are followed by attractive bell shaped seed pods. An easy to grow border plant that will flower all summer long.

| Hibiscus Acetosella Red Shield A good subject for mixed bedding, a dot plant with a bushy habit, deep red leaves that will complement other species. Will produce small red flowers in warmer climates or in a very sheltered sunny spot.

The cultural information should be used as a guide only, I have found a number of different sowing techniques for the same seed from different sources there does not seem to be a standard. With this in mind you should use this website as a guide only, you probably already have a tried and tested way of sowing different seeds. As a rule of thumb the larger the seed size the more cover it requires, and fine seed like Lobelia Begonia etc requires no cover.
