Allium Porrum
British bred Hybrid leek that has excellent cold weather tolerance produces good quality leeks that can withstand the harshest of weathers. Dark leaves with crisp white stems, nice strong leek flavour and no bulbing. Good standing ability also being rust and bolting tolerant. Harvest from Christmas to May. Favourite of Gardeners World.

Allium porrum General Sowing information: Sow indoors winter, outdoors early spring on. Sow thinly 1.25 cm deep in drills 30cm between rows. When seedlings are about 20cm high transplant using dibber into prepared ground 15cm deep and 15-25cm apart dependant on variety. Plant out 12 weeks after sowing. Harvest September to March dependant on variety
