Ginkgo biloba has unique foliage which is fan shaped and leathery with golden yellow foliage in autumn. Deciduous. Rare to find in the wild but grown in Temple gardens and as specimen trees, an excellent subject to Bonsai. Ginkgo is a traditional Chinese medicine where the seed is used. Recently research has found health promoting properties within the leaves. Used to improve memory, stimulate the blood circulation, leaves are harvested just before they begin to change colour normally in late summer to early autumn. Magical powers of love and beauty.
