Stevia Candy grows up to 1m and is a larger leaved selection of the species S.rebaudiana. For hundreds of years the leaves have been used in Brazil and Paraguay as a sweetener. The Guarani Indians of Paraguay call it 'Kaa jhee' and have used it to sweeten other medicinal teas and foods as well as use it medicinally as a hypoglycemic, hypotensiv, diuretic and for obesity, hypertension, heartburn, and help lower uric acid levels. Furthermore as atonic used in cases of diabetes, hypertension and high bloodpressure, as well as a cardiotonic.
