Brassica oleracea
Ornamental brassica, compact rosette shaped flower heads on tall stems, colours in the mixture include bicolour, pink, red, rose and white Crane. Long lasting vase life make the crane series excellent cut flowers, spacing plants closer together makes the flower heads more compact. Plants grow to 60cm tall and up to 20cm wide. For larger flowers trim back lower leaves on young plants, feed until plants start to colour and support the heavy stems as they grow tall.

Date: Sow May to early August
Advice: Grow under cool conditions, cold night temperatures enhance colour. Late sown can be overwintered for early spring plants.
