False Saffron Kinko orange flowered is used for culinary, medicinal, dyestuffs and cosmetics.
Oil from the seed is used in salad dressings and for frying, the seed can be fried and eaten in chutneys, the young leaves eaten raw or cooked as a spinach. Medicinal is used to help reduce heart and coronary disease and to help reduce cholesterol. Position in full sun and well drained site.
General Sowing information: Herb seeds can be sown from early spring onwards, when the ground has warmed up they can be direct sown. All herbs come complete with germination instructions.
