Cats cannot resist the intoxicating scent of Nepeta cataria (Catmint). They will demolish young plants unless protected. Having a fragrance of mint and lemon. Herbal tea was made from the leaves. The leaves can be used in moderation to flavour salads. Catmint can be used to dye wool and textiles. Said to keep rats away. A tea induces sleep, bees love the flowers. Packet contains enough seed to raise approx 500 seedlings.
General Sowing information: Herb seeds can be sown from early spring onwards, when the ground has warmed up they can be direct sown. All herbs come complete with germination instructions.
