Needs warmth and shelter, grows well under glass/polytunnels. Basil Bush is a small leaved variety, much used in Italian cooking. The flavour increases when cooked. Soothing to the stomach.
Excellent companion plant to grow alongside tomatoes to repel insects and aid growth. Small leaved varieties are worth trying to grow in pots on a sunny windowsill.
